About Diane Gioioso, L. AcMDiane Gioioso began her studies of the Chinese medical tradition 25 years ago and is a licensed acupuncturist in Maryland and the District of Columbia. She has intensely studied acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Since 1999 Diane have been a student of Jeffery Yuen, Daoist priest and foremost teacher of Classical Acupuncture. Her initial training was grounded in Five Element acupuncture with J.R. Worsley and his senior students at Academy for Five Element Acupuncture. She is currently teaching in the Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine program at Daoist Traditions College of Medical Arts, North Carolina and to privately organized groups of students. She formerly served as acupuncture and Chinese herbal and doctoral faculty at Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly TAI Sophia). As herbal faculty she taught pregnancy, postpartum, and dietary therapy. She was also faculty in MUIH’s Women’s Health Post Graduate Certification, and passionately teaches women's health around the country to the profession.
